Whispers Between the Lines.

Isha:-
Before I could think...Before I could even breathe...My legs moved on their own.With a frightened squeak, I rushed straight toward Aarav. Without realizing what I was doing, I practically jumped onto him, wrapping my arms tightly around his neck. My feet left the floor for a second, and instinctively, Aarav caught me before I could lose my balance.

One arm slipped behind my back while the other supported me under my knees, holding me as though I weighed nothing.His eyes widened ever so slightly."Isha..." he said, his voice calm despite the situation. "What exactly are you doing?"
"I don't want to die!" I cried, squeezing my eyes shut and burying my face against his shoulder. "There is a panther in our bedroom!"

Aarav looked past me at Shadow, who had stopped a few feet away and was watching the scene with obvious confusion.Then he looked back at the terrified doctor clinging to him like a frightened koala.
A long, exhausted sigh escaped him.
"Doctor ," he said patiently, "the only one in danger right now is me."
I frowned without opening my eyes.
"What?"
