One sunny morning, TV yawned so loudly that everyone in the living room looked surprised.
"I am tired of showing cartoons, movies, news, and cricket every day," said TV. "I want a vacation!"
Remote jumped onto the sofa and laughed.
"A vacation? Who will entertain the family without you?"
TV smiled.
"You can do it for one day."
Remote proudly replied, "Easy! I am the boss. Everyone listens to me."
The next morning, TV switched itself off and pretended to be asleep.
Remote stood in the middle of the table.
"Attention everyone! Today I am in charge!"
The family picked up Remote.
"Turn on the TV," said Dad.
Remote pressed all its own buttons.
"Click! Click! Click!"
Nothing happened.
"Oh... maybe louder clicks will work!"
"CLICK! CLICK! CLICK!"
Still nothing.
The family looked confused.
Grandma accidentally sat on Remote.
"Ouch!" shouted Remote.
The little boy dropped popcorn everywhere.
The dog grabbed Remote and ran around the house.
"Stop! I am important!" cried Remote.
The cat chased the dog.
Dad chased the cat.
Mom chased Dad because he was stepping on the clean floor.
Grandpa laughed so hard that he almost spilled his tea.
Finally, TV opened one eye.
"Had enough?"
Remote sighed.
"Yes... I forgot something."
"What?" asked TV.
"I can press buttons, but without you I cannot show anything."
TV smiled warmly.
"And without you, people would have to walk to me every time they wanted to change the channel."
Both laughed together.
From that day on, TV and Remote stopped arguing.
TV happily showed everyone's favorite programs, and Remote proudly helped from the sofa.
The whole family clapped, and even the dog wagged its tail as if saying, "Best team ever!"
Moral: Teamwork makes every job easier, and everyone has an important role.
