Where The Tower Stands

Cyrelle Lannister, one of Westerous's most bratty, stylish and spoiled girl, is shipped off to marry a man whom she can't help but have a generous amount of opinions about-his Faith, his way, his mind.

Their marriage began in uneasy tension, with Cyrelle's spoiled demands, testing the quiet patience of Ser Gwayne Hightower at every turn.

He answered her constant critiques of his Faith, his measured ways, and his mind not with anger, but with steady kindness and an almost endless willingness.

To spoil her-gifts of silks, jewels, and quiet indulgences that only seemed to sharpen her bratty edge, she remained unyielding, offering him her opinions far more freely, certain she would never need the righteous son who had been forced upon her. Only when a most tragic event shattered the world she had known did Cyrelle finally look for him with desperate need, discovering too late that the man she had dismissed so freely was the one she could no longer live without.
