Maggie needed tuition money when she signed a contract, not a reunion with Dean, the former highschool best friend turned enemy who quietly stopped showing up once college, pro-soccer team, and a better social life came along.

Now they have both woken up on an strangely perfect island with no phones, no memory of arriving, and no way home. Alone together.

Dean is still frustratingly calm, somehow even hotter than the last time she saw him, and acting like years of silence and avoidance never happened. Maggie is still angry enough to make the weather turn violent.

There's also a cabin hidden in the rainforest that already knows their names, clothing sizes, and exactly what kind of beds they sleep in. The deeper Maggie and Dean travel, the clearer it becomes that the island is not testing whether they can survive.

It is testing what happens when two people with unfinished history are trapped alone together.

To escape, Maggie may have to trust the person who hurt her most. Dean may finally have to admit why he walked away. But every argument, accidental touch, and almost-kiss leading to steamy action, gives the simulation more of what it wants.
