Cassidy Ellewood knows her place in the world of Sterling Academy, and it's completely behind the lens. As the hyper-organized Editor-In-Chief for the school yearbook, she relies on a top notch journalism scholarship to secure her future. Her plan is simple: do the work, get the grade, and stay out of the way.

Reece Grant is the school's nationally ranked basketball athlete. He's the boy with a devastating smirk, a loose tie, and a perfect D1 scholarship offer waiting for him after graduation. To everyone else, Reece is living a life that one could only dream of. But behind closed doors, he's dealing with the pressure of getting a contract and keeping it under his father's performative demands.

Sure their worlds cross paths, but those paths aren't meant to lead to the same destination.

That is, until a chaotic senior party traps them both in a cramped closet for a game of 7 Minutes in Heaven.

After the blindfolds came off, they should've pulled away, they had every reason to. But one reckless smile is enough to solicit something deeper, leaving Reece completely obsessed, and Cassidy in doubt.

Things were finally back to normal, Reece was in his world, Cassidy was back in hers. It was comfortable, safe even.

Suddenly, everything shatters after Reece and his teammates commit a harmless senior prank-threatening his contract. Reece then has to rely on Cassidy to keep the incriminating photos away from the principal.

They make a deal to protect his offer, and to give her complete access to his fast-paced life for a chance at a scholarship.

Strictly professional, nothing else.

However, after countless hours filled with late night car conversations, witty banter, and electric chemistry, they realize that following the rules is harder than they thought.
