Some mistakes weren't well observed as not everyone was gifted with good observation and understanding skills. Due to that, some man was blind by revenge. Hatred and revenge burnt in their heart and soul forgetting that the law is still being upheld. Letters and notes were old ways to express someone's feelings. With the new technology, many had decided to move on, using e-mails and social media to express what they feel. Having a note in a home compound might be exciting for anyone but not Addison Lore. Those notes were sent to her without fail for fourteen continuous days. Even a red ruby ring. Will she be able to escape the fate she was about to face? What would you do if one second you were struggling to survive with your friends and mother in tow, and then you wake up to find yourself with a group of strangers the next - all during the country's takeover of blood-thirsty zeds? Megan couldn't believe her eyes. Her brain was muddled with confusion she couldn't get rid of, no matter how many times those strangers reassured her and explained what happened. But she had to accept it, even though it didn't make any sense to her. Megan had been with her mother every step of the way since everything turned to chaos, beginning just a year before, and now she was nowhere to be seen. And on top of that, she had the zeds to deal with. Ghastly creatures that used to be human, carrying a virus that's spread through a constant hunger for flesh from the host, spreading through bites and scratches. It didn't exactly make it easy to prevent getting infected. Things could have been worse, though, Megan thought. She could've been left all alone to ponder over her thoughts and fear over the future. It'll only be within the time spent with the new group will she find out that everything's not as happy and welcoming as it had seemed. These people had a few secrets of their own, including the real reason they took Megan in. Every night she felt pain all over her body. Her adopter lambasted her mercilessly until she was in deep darkness. An opportunity came and she immediately took it. She thought she was already safe, but another chaos awaits her in the outside world. Every fiber of her body beg for her to give up. But this doesn't mean her life was full of misery. While she hides herself from the darkness, she founds light. Firstly, A trigger warning for mental health/ self inflicted wounds when reading. you're only 18 years old. your name is zoe. you always had a love for the apocalypse but didn't think it would truly happen. and you slowly learn that nobody is who they say they are. Nobody is to be trusted. Things are gonna fall apart, and nobody can save us now. This book is being rewritten again and hopefully is better than the first and second time it was published. It's kind of cringe most of the way. Wrote it when i was like 13-14 years old or something and tried rewriting when I was about 16. Didn't work. Trying to rewrite it again at 20 but i don't think the first two books are saveable. Book three so far however is going well(i believe anyway). The second book has also been rewritten and will be rewritten again. now I'm working on finishing book three. All characters are mine but ellis is not I will be changing a lot of character names again in this rewriting process in all books, ellis being the biggest.Complete
