The Things I Can't Write ~Beau Maxwell~

"I need your help."

Beau glanced up from his phone. "With what?"

"My book."

"That usually means trouble, Bookworm."

I frowned. "It does not."

He smiled. "Okay. What do you need?"

I stared at the floor, suddenly very interested in the carpet. "I need to write a sex scene."

There was a pause.

"And?"

I took a breath. "This is going to sound insane, but... I need you to have sex with me."

Beau blinked.

"Come again?"

"I knew it sounded insane."

"No, no." He set his phone down, looking at me as if he were trying to decide if I was serious. "You're actually asking me?"

I nodded, my face burning.

"For research?"

"For research."

A grin slowly pulled at the corner of his mouth. "You know, Bookworm, there are probably easier ways to research a sex scene."

"I know."

"And yet you asked me."

"I did."

He shook his head, still smiling. "Okay, Bookworm. I'm listening."
