Dallis has lived in a palace all her life, but has never experienced any of the accommodations that come with living in such a grand place. She grew up with a royal family, yet had to watch from behind the curtains as they dined and wined on anything finer than the palace itself.

Prince Maxwell was used to the servants waiting on him hand and foot. He was used to getting what he wanted. However, he tries not to take too much for granted, such as his best and only friends, Dallis and Duchess Rowan.

Duchess Rowan has lived with the Armstrong family since she was five. Her parents shipped her off to live with them to avoid the war in her country. Arranged to marry the prince, Rowan couldn't be more happy. She'd grown up with him all her life and truly loves him.
