Vergil Volkov wants peace, and now that he finally has the chance, he will do anything to stay in it.

With a new identity hidden from the world and a past no one can ever know, he enters Universidad de Santa Elena hoping to experience a normal life-friends to bond with, and people who can treat him like a normal person.

Along the way, he meets Gabriela Soledad, a woman tired of constant attention and searching for someone who can treat her like a human being.

But Universidad de Santa Elena itself is ruled by violence, students who want to taste each other's blood, and officials who only want to expand their power.

The very place Vergil thought would let him live as a normal person is tainted by the same violence he tried to leave behind.

People will try to awaken that violence within him, while others will do everything they can to keep him on the path he chose.

As their paths intertwine, Vergil and Gabriela discover something neither of them expected.

Love was never supposed to be easy.

And the same fire that keeps their love alive can burn them at any moment.

One question remains.

Will they succumb to their own demons, or will they face them?
