Hitachiin Kaoru slowly learns to step out of the shadow of his brother, Hitachiin Hikaru, and begins to understand who he is without trying to be anyone else. But as the feelings for the only person to truly see him as an individual begin to change. Learning about himself becomes harder to take in, forcing him to consider the impact on his relationships. Especially his twin brother, who begins to feel more estranged with the sudden realization. He wanted to be his own person, but such a new experience made him feel as though he couldn't, or rather shouldn't, be considered Hikaru's twin.
