I had always enjoyed visiting the quaint little house on King. The woman who lived there was old and her end was coming, but I loved her as though she were my own grandmother. Her own grandchildren were gone; one in university, the other had passed away. She left the house to me. 

It was my duty to figure out all its secrets.
