For over two centuries, the Park and Sim Clans have stood as the two most powerful vampire families in Korea, their rivalry kept in check only by fragile political agreements and mutual exhaustion from generations of bloodshed. To ensure lasting peace, the clan elders arrange a marriage between **Park Yeji**, the youngest daughter of the Park Clan, and **Sim Jaeyun**, heir to the Sim Clan. Their union is meant to symbolize the end of an ancient feud and unite the clans under a single alliance.
But on the morning of the wedding, Yeji disappears without a trace.
With every influential vampire noble already gathered for the ceremony, canceling the wedding would be seen as a deliberate insult and could reignite a war neither family can afford. Desperate to preserve the treaty, the Park elders make an unthinkable decision. They order Yeji's older brother, **Park Sunghoon**, to take her place at the altar.
Bound by duty rather than love, Sunghoon and Jaeyun move into the same estate and begin the difficult task of pretending to be devoted spouses. In public, they must play the role of the perfect married couple-sharing affectionate gestures, attending lavish banquets, and presenting a united front to convince the vampire world that the alliance is genuine. Behind closed doors, however, they are strangers navigating an awkward marriage neither of them wanted.
As months pass, the line between performance and reality begins to blur. Quiet conversations replace uncomfortable silence, shared burdens become mutual comfort, and small acts of kindness slowly grow into unwavering trust. What begins as a political arrangement gradually becomes a partnership built on genuine understanding. Without realizing it, both men fall in love.
