Isabelle Serrano is the girl everyone wishes they could be. Of Italian heritage, Isabelle is one of the brightest students at the University of Edmonton and one of the most promising figure skaters in the country. Elegant, flawless, and always smiling, she seems to have the perfect life. No one knows that behind that perfection lie years of exhausting training, family pressure, and a complicated relationship with her own body, shaped by the belief that she is never enough.

Jade Walsh, on the other hand, is a mystery. She attends the same university but is rarely seen in class. She spends most of her time with older crowds, between concerts and nights at her older brother Aaron Walsh's nightclub, one of the most famous DJs of the moment.
