"I'm not letting you push me away anymore." He says, his calmness finally dissipating.
"And why not?" I ask frustrated.
"Because I can't just sit here and watch you fold into yourself anymore! It's not healthy."
"Why do you care? I've been shutting you out for over a year! Why won't you just give up on me already?"
"Because you don't give up on the people you love. You didn't give up on me, I'm not giving up on you. You can try and push me away all you want but I'm not going anywhere."
That's when the dam finally breaks.
