It is 1989. At a high school attended by the future rock stars of the '70s and '80s, one clique rules above everyone else-Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, and Eric Singer. Known as "The Elite," they set the trends, decide everyone's social status, and choose who deserves attention... and who will become the next target of ridicule.

After being away for an entire year, Eric Carr returns to school. He expects to find everything just as he remembers it, but instead discovers a place that has changed beyond recognition. His old friends are no longer the people they used to be, and the school hallways have become a battlefield where rival rock bands constantly clash.

As Eric tries to understand what happened, he unexpectedly finds himself drawn into the life of the school's elite. Before long, he realizes that beneath the popularity, glamour, and admiration lies a very different side of the school.
