When the Rain Came Late
The village had forgotten the sound of rain.
Year after year, the land grew drier, families left, and hope slowly faded. Yet every evening, a young woman named Layan climbed the same hill overlooking the valley. In her hands was an old book left behind by her late father, and in her heart was a faith no drought could steal.
The villagers often laughed.
"Are you still waiting for the rain?"
She would simply smile.
"I'm not waiting for the rain... I'm waiting for God's promise."
One day, a traveler named Omar arrived, searching for a place to begin again. Inspired by Layan's unwavering spirit, he stayed to help restore the abandoned wells while she gathered the village children and taught them to read beneath an old olive tree.
Days became weeks.
Weeks became months.
Still, the sky remained empty.
Yet Layan never stopped believing.
Then, on an ordinary afternoon, dark clouds rolled over the mountains. A single raindrop touched the earth, followed by another, until the heavens finally opened.
The village celebrated with tears and laughter.
But Layan stood quietly beneath the rain, looking toward the sky.
She thanked God-not because the rain had finally come, but because He had given her the strength to wait for it.
Omar watched her with admiration.
"The miracle wasn't the rain," he said.
"It was your faith."
Layan smiled gently.
"Miracles don't always come to those who chase them. Sometimes, they find those who never stop believing."
And from that day on, the village learned that hope returns long before the rain ever does.

Moral
Sometimes life delays our dreams-not to deny them, but to prepare us for the moment they finally arrive. True patience is believing in tomorrow, even when today's sky is still without rain.
