Where Time Finally Rests

There is something strange about Lena.

She never seems surprised by history. She speaks of places as if she has lived through them, remembers centuries no one else could have witnessed, and carries a loneliness she never explains.

Miu tells herself none of it is her problem.

But the closer she gets to the woman who always seems one step removed from time, the harder it becomes to ignore the truth hidden behind Lena's quiet smile.

Some stories begin with love.

This one begins with a thousand years of waiting.
