Bill is a recovering magic addict. Temptation is everywhere, and some days it seems the easiest way to avoid it is to cut himself off from the world. When an old coven-mate turns up with Safiyyah - ex witch, ex muslim, ex girlfriend's best friend - and insists he take her in to help her recover as well, he's initially against the idea. Together, though, they're something better than the sum of the parts, stronger than their individual weaknesses, and more complete than their individual wholes.

Not all spells are cast. Not all laws are immutable. And not all love comes easily.
