Oblation: "A solemn religious offering, gift, or sacrifice made to a deity or a religious institution."

Katherine Taylor is Jackie Taylor's older sister and a former captain of the Yellowjackets. She is a talented soccer player who led the team to states three years in a row and took them to nationals in 1994 before leaving for Rutgers on a full-ride soccer scholarship.

Katherine and Jackie have always had a complicated relationship. Jackie looks up to her sister but also resents constantly being compared to her. Katherine has never really understood why Jackie sees her as perfect. To Katherine, she has spent most of her life trying to figure things out and live up to the expectations everyone has for her.

When Katherine returns home from college, she agrees to help the Yellowjackets prepare for nationals. She expects to spend a few weeks with her old teammates and her sister before going back to school.

For anyone who has seen the show, you know that's not exactly what happens.
