Forsaken || Alec Volturi

Juliet Swan only came to Forks because Charlie asked her to.

Her cousin was falling apart, and if a few weeks in a rainy little town could help pull Bella back together, Jules was willing to try. She never expected those few weeks to turn into months, or for Forks to begin feeling like home. And she certainly never expected Jacob Black.

What begins as an unlikely friendship slowly becomes something more, giving Jules a reason to stay long after Bella no longer needs saving.

But Bella returned from Italy with more than Edward Cullen. She returned with a promise.

And when that promise goes unfulfilled, the Volturi decide to collect.

Taken from her home and brought to Volterra as punishment for a bargain she never made, Juliet is given one assurance: if Bella keeps her word, she will be allowed to leave.

So she waits.

For Bella. For Jacob. For someone to come for her.

But as days turn to weeks and hope begins to disappear, Juliet finds herself drawn to the one person she has every reason to hate.

Alec Volturi is cruel, powerful, and everything she was taught to fear. Yet no matter how often they clash or how desperately they try to keep their distance, neither of them seems capable of staying away from the other.

And when the people she loves fail to save her, Juliet begins to wonder if the monsters holding her captive are really the ones she should fear.
