Alamat are traditional Filipino legends passed down from one generation to another through storytelling. These stories explain the origins of places, plants, animals, and natural events while sharing lessons and values. The stories you are about to read are inspired by Filipino folklore and may also include retellings or adaptations of traditional alamat. They may be presented in both English and Tagalog.
Author's note: This story was first written in Filipino and translated into English with the help of a translation app. Since English is not my first language, some expressions may read differently from the original.
