Wrong direction

Vinn has had a crush on Olivia ever since they first met in math class. He found everything about her fascinating, and over time, his small crush turned into something much deeper. But Vinn was never the kind of guy people noticed. He was messy, clumsy, dorky, and a little childish, never fitting the "perfect guy" image everyone seemed to admire.

Living with five siblings only made things harder. Between being embarrassed by them everywhere they went and constantly having to babysit, Vinn felt like he had no chance of impressing Olivia. The only person who made things easier was his best friend, Klein. Unlike Vinn, Klein was confident, popular, and had girls constantly chasing after him, making Vinn worry that Olivia would eventually choose him instead.

So, tired of keeping his feelings hidden, Vinn finally gathers the courage to confess. With a rose in hand, he tells Olivia how he feels, only to have his heart crushed when she rejects him in the cruelest way possible. Humiliated and broken, Vinn starts believing that maybe he was never someone a girl could truly like.

A few days later, Olivia's best friend Tara approaches him and apologizes for what happened. She tells him that he never deserved the way Olivia treated him, and for the first time in a while, Vinn feels like someone actually sees him. When he tells his parents what happened, they say something he never expected to hear: maybe, just maybe, Vinn has been looking in the wrong direction all along.
