Luke Castellan's Redemption

Hawk Harriet is the child of Eros, and was previously raised and protected by his stepfather, despite his mother dying during childbirth.

When a monster attacks not long after Hawk's eighth birthday and kills his stepfather, he runs and ends up nearly getting killed by the same monster. He fully expects to become the monster's lunch.

However, Luke Castellan, a ten year old son of Hermes, on a quest for Camp Half blood with Annabeth and Grover, realises the danger Hawk's in and saves him, killing the monster. Luke brings him back to Camp Half Blood, where Hawk's eventually claimed by Eros.

Hawk stays in the Hermes cabin, because there's no cabin built for Eros, but he doesn't mind. He prefers being close to Luke, whom he's been soul bonded to by Psyche. Luke feels a similar way about Hawk, but when he gets a dream from Kronos, along with Chris Rodriquez, he slowly starts pulling away, to protect Hawk while he acts as a spy for Olympus.

Hawk doesn't realise at first, because Percy has just arrived and been claimed by Poseidon.

When Luke leaves Camp Half Blood, following Chris, Hawk is scared, and desperate to get him back. Even moreso when Thalia's tree gets poisoned, threatening the safety of everyone at Camp Half Blood.

While talking to Luke on board the Princess Andromeda, Hawk gains wings that he never knew he'd get. Luke helps him through the transformation, after taking him to the bathroom, for easy clean up. Afterwards, Hawk pleads for Luke, to come home, to make their bond official.

After seeing Hawk in such a vulnerable position while gaining his wings, and feeling their soul bond click back into place, Luke helps Percy, Annabeth, Grover, Tyson, and Hawk retrieve the Golden Fleece, prevents Kronos's rise, and returns to Camp Half Blood.

After that, Luke and Hawk become a couple, as do Annabeth and Percy. Thalia's extremely happy that her friends have found people who care so deeply about them, flaws and all.
