BLUEFLARE: The Despair

Six years ago, the world changed forever.

People with extraordinary abilities began to appear, throwing society into chaos. Governments scrambled to understand the phenomenon, scientists searched desperately for answers, and the public watched as individuals with impossible powers rewrote the rules of what it meant to be human.

The source was eventually traced to a rare genetic mutation known as the Bluestare Gene. Present in only a small fraction of the population, the gene remained dormant until its carrier experienced a near-death event. That brush with death triggered a chain reaction throughout the body, awakening a unique power while permanently turning the carrier's irises a deep, unmistakable blue.

Six years later, the awakened have become part of everyday life. Some hide their abilities, unwilling to draw attention to themselves. Others use their powers to protect the innocent, becoming celebrated heroes. But not everyone chooses to serve the greater good. For some, extraordinary power is nothing more than a tool to dominate, exploit, and reshape the world for their own benefit.
