THE CEO'S HUSBAND

A bank statement and a signed agreement slid across the mahogany desk, scattering her documents. Sana didn't look down; she knew what they were. Across from her, Jungkook's knuckles turned white against the wood, his eyes burning with betrayal.
"Is this how you get everything, Director Kim?" Jungkook's voice was dangerously quiet. "You paid Jennie to leave me?"
Sana sat back gracefully, masking her pounding heart. "I bought out a parasite. Jennie loved money, not you. I simply expedited the inevitable."
"It wasn't your choice!" he snapped, his voice breaking. "You played God with my life. I'm done being another asset you bought."
He turned sharply for the door.
Panic surging through her, Sana bolted from her chair and intercepted him, grabbing his jacket and slamming her lips against his.
Jungkook froze, but the raw intensity overtook him. Wrapping his arms around her waist, he pulled her flush against him, holding her almost suffocatingly tight as he kissed her back with breathless passion.
When they broke apart, Jungkook stepped back, his eyes hardening. "What now? You want to use your body to prove you love me? This isn't love, Sana. It's obsession."
Sana's breath hitched, but she forced a sharp, mocking smirk, looking him up and down.
"Is that so?" she whispered, her voice cold and confident. "Then why are you hard after just one kiss?"
She turned on her heel and walked out, her posture perfectly straight until the doors closed behind her-leaving him alone as her held-back tears finally spilled down her face.
