The Halcyon Theater has been condemned for years, but that has never stopped people from getting inside.
Once a grand municipal theater, the Halcyon spent its final decades as a grimy home for punk shows, industrial music, and rumors no one took seriously. After an illegal anniversary concert ends with police, missing attendees, and renewed security around the building, urban explorer Brad sees an opportunity.
Armed with a flashlight, a disposable camera, and a newly purchased Hi8 camcorder, he slips through a forgotten maintenance entrance after midnight. He expects unstable floors, bad wiring, and perhaps a squatter hiding in the dark.
Instead, Brad begins noticing details that refuse to remain where he last saw them.
Weight moving through overhead pipes.
A figure that becomes easier to recognize through the green haze of NightShot-but no easier to understand.
As the theater's failing lights begin to change, Brad discovers that the old stories surrounding the Halcyon may not have been ghost stories at all.
Some predators do not need darkness to hide.
