Chelsea "Chels" Gallagher is fifteen years old and the older twin of Ian Gallagher by thirty minutes. The daughter of Frank and Monica Gallagher, she's fiercely loyal to her family-even if she'd rather call Frank by his first name than "Dad."

With naturally brunette hair hidden beneath badly bleached blonde dye, Chelsea is known around the South Side for never backing down from a fight. She and Ian are constantly throwing punches at each other, and when they fight, they both aim for the face. She skips school whenever she feels like it, barely turns up to her job at the Kash and Grab, smokes, drinks, and has earned a reputation for being fearless.

Despite her rough exterior, Chelsea would do absolutely anything for Fiona, Lip, Ian, Debbie, Carl, and Liam. Family always comes first.

Her best friend is Mandy Milkovich, which means she's never far from Mandy's older brother, Mickey Milkovich. At sixteen, Mickey is just as tough and guarded as she is, and neither of them is looking for feelings. Unfortunately for them, the South Side has other plans.

Set during Season 1 of Shameless (US), this story follows Chelsea as she navigates family chaos, street fights, friendships, first love, and everything that comes with growing up on the South Side of Chicago.
