We never said hello.

Not once.
Yet somehow...
he became the longest story I have ever lived.

I met him on an ordinary school morning, beneath a sky that looked no different from any other. He wore a plain black shirt. I thought he was just another student I'd forget by next week.
I was wrong.

Somewhere between old school corridors and imagined shorelines... between ringing bells and restless tides... a quiet boy became an ocean.

He had fish who belonged to his waters. He had a sun that made his world glow.
I was neither.

I was only the bird above him... loving a sea that never once needed to look up.
