Hope Anderson was ten years old the night her family was murdered. She was fifteen when she walked out of prison - five years, two weeks, and three days later - still unable to remember what happened. Still unable to decide whether she was innocent, or simply incapable of feeling guilty. The evidence said she did it. The courts agreed. The papers ran with it for years before the world moved on, the way the world always does - leaving Hope alone in a cell with the one question she could never answer. She had refused every lawyer. Rejected every lifeline. As far as she was concerned, if there was even a chance she was capable of what they said she did, she had no right to fight her way free. But someone on the outside disagrees. Two strangers are waiting at the prison gates with answers Hope never knew she needed - about her family, about Holloway, about the secrets the Andersons took to their graves. The truth about that night is closer than she thinks. She's not sure she's ready for it.
