Genevieve Ashcroft has known Victor and William Frankenstein for most of her life. When William visits Ashcroft Manor and confesses his growing concern for his brother, Genevieve travels to an isolated castle near Vaduz, expecting to find Victor consumed by yet another dangerous experiment.
Instead, she discovers a living man chained beneath the castle. He knows only darkness, pain, and the name of the man who made him.
As Genevieve secretly teaches him language, friendship, and kindness, she gives him something Victor never did: a name. But the closer Genevieve and Adam become, the more determined Victor is to tear them apart.
