A twelve year old girl named Christine lives in a little farm house with her brother Allen, her sister Faith, her mother, her father, and her grandfather. She has grown up on her farm and has never been aloud to leave her property until her thirteenth birthday. She goes to the near by market and meets a boy a year older than her named James. They immediately became friends and visited each other often. As she grows up there is so much that happens to her and it is mostly horrible. Besides the bad things in her life her relationship with James grows.
One day something terrible happens to her family that makes her feel like she has lost everything. Will she find something to bring her out of her misery? Or will she loose everything that she has?
