Blurred Lines

Gabrielle never really knew what to call whatever was happening between them. They lived under the same roof, shared the same space, and somehow became each other's comfort after long days. There were late-night conversations, random teasing, quiet moments, and little things that made gab believe that maybe they were more than what they let other people see.

But the moment they stepped outside their condo, everything changed. They became strangers again - no greetings, no conversations, barely even a glance. Ali tried not to question it, convincing herself that maybe there was a reason behind it, or perhaps whatever they had was simply something that was never meant to be seen by anyone else.

Still, there was one question she couldn't seem to shake. If they could be everything to each other when no one was watching, why did they have to pretend they were nothing when everyone was?
