Amie Eden was born after eight years of marriage but it didn't stop her father from taking another wife, though it was for political reasons, it still was bad enough for her. Now, Amie has to deal with a step mother and a step brother.

Vernon's life was the complete opposite, despite belonging to the one of the most influential mafia family and an adopted son as well. His life was much better than Amie at least that's what it looks at the surface level. And unlike Amie, he has a great relationship with his younger step brother, George Evan.

And the problem arises when Amie's father arranges her marriage with Vernon despite knowing that she is in love with someone else, just giving the excuse to save her.

Amie told Vernon about it and the man promised that when Amie became capable enough to fight her own family, he will let her go. That he will free her of this relationship. And Vernon mean it, at least that what he wish to.
