Some houses are haunted.

When Elena Vale inherits an abandoned house from a grandmother she barely remembers, she expects nothing more than a ruined property and a quick sale.

Instead, she finds photographs of herself.

Photographs taken years before she was born.

Then she begins hearing footsteps outside her bedroom every night.

Someone whispers her name through the walls.

And every morning, something inside the house has moved.

At first, Elena thinks she's losing her mind.

Then she meets Lucien Voss.

He lives in the woods behind the house.

He knows things about Elena that no stranger should know.

he knows the house loves her.

Lucien tells her to leave.

Elena doesn't.

It shows Elena standing beside Lucien.

She's wearing the same dress she's wearing now.

The photograph is dated twenty-three years ago.

Lucien hasn't aged a day.

And beneath the photograph, written in Elena's own handwriting, are six words:

"If he remembers me, I die."
