Long ago...There was a prophecy that once said 'in the event that the avatar cycle was disturbed a child would be born with the ability to bend half of the elements in place of the avatar' During Aang's 100 year absence, a girl named Luna was born. Luna had the ability to bend Water and Fire although this was unknown to her at the time. Nobody would expect that the half-avatar and the actual avatar would ever exist at the same time and only when Luna meets the Gaang does she begin to realize her true power. Born in the southern water tribe and taken to the fire nation capital after the discovery that she could bend fire, Luna grew up around the fire nation palace.
