The Space Between Us

A teenage girl named Avery has spent 1 and a half years believing that her girlfriend, Lena, is her safest place in the world.
They spent three and a half years growing together, changed together, and became so intertwined that Avery slowly stopped noticing where she ended and Lena began.

Then, one ordinary week, everything falls apart.

Lena says something Avery never expected to hear:
"I think we became too much of each other."

Within days, Avery goes from planning their future to being blocked on every platform. Their friends begin choosing sides. Conversations that Avery desperately wants never happen. Every hallway becomes a reminder of what she lost.

But the hardest part isn't losing Lena.

It's realizing that, somewhere along the way, Avery lost herself too.

Avery, through the weeks after the breakup, moves through anger, grief, denial, nostalgia, loneliness, and eventually the terrifying possibility that healing doesn't mean getting Lena back.
