Before he was a grandfather, he was a boy.

A boy growing up in the hills of Nepal, surrounded by family, traditions, and dreams that seemed bigger than the life he was born into. But childhood does not always last as long as it should, and life would soon teach him things no child should have to learn so early.

From the quiet villages of Terhathum to the unfamiliar roads of the Terai, his life slowly takes him through love, family, hardship, sacrifice, and the search for a place to belong.

Years later, his grandchildren know him simply as an old man-the one with the stories, the quiet nature, and the chocolates in his pocket.

But every old person was once a child with dreams, fears, and a life of their own.

And sometimes, the person we think we know best is the person whose story we know the least.
