Undercity Kids

Zaun, 2006. Patrick Quayle is 21, fronting a going-nowhere band called Fallout Boy with his mates Pete, Joe, and Andy, when his younger brother Stuart disappears without a trace. His sister Ruby - 18, navigating an intellectual disability, anxiety, depression, and a learning disability - clings to the band as the one steady thing left in her world, dragged into rehearsals and dive bars because nobody knows what else to do with the fear of losing another brother. As the search for Stuart pulls them deeper into the undercity's rougher corners, they cross paths with two sisters carving out their own kind of survival - Vi, sharp and protective, and her volatile, unpredictable younger sister, Jinx. Long before shimmer wars and chemtech empires, this is a story about the families we're born into, the ones we build out of desperation, and what it costs to keep searching for someone who might already be gone.
