The Summer days that made Us

Izuku was five years old when he met six-year-old Katsuki during his trip to visit his maternal grandmother for the summer. The two boys spent each summer from then on with each other, becoming inseparable. And during the other seasons when they weren't together, they wrote to each other, texted eventually and even held late night calls when they were old enough to have their own phones.

Although these summers had abruptly came to an end when Izuku got a college acceptance letter to his dream college in America, leaving behind not only his family but his first love.

A few years had passed, Izuku was now 22 years old and was an elementary teacher. Within these years, the text and late-night calls had got slower until they came to a complete stop. Unable to face Katsuki and his feelings for the blond, Izuku decides to not visit, afraid to face his underlying feelings.

Fate has other plans though, Izuku was needed at home in Japan with his grandmother's declining health. This not only forced him back to a place he buried, but it forced him to meet a pair of red eyes he had dreaded to meet.
