Wednesday could feel the chilling tiles bite into her skin. She sat on the floor, back against the tub. Her arms hugged her knees, chin resting on top. Enid just gave her a full declaration of loyalty and all she had done was sob like a child. She sniffles and ruminates. What would her next step be? Enid has pulled every nerve of her system, it was impossible to ignore the tub on her heart. It felt more like the sole of a shoe dug into her flesh, daring her to feign ignorance. The more she tried to, the harder the force hurled into her. Everything Enid does reminds her why she's special, special in a way where no one could replace. The only inhibition was fear, barring down the gates, like chains downing her movements. She was afraid of breaching boundaries, boundaries with Enid. Did she even see her in that way, ever? Enid's always bubbly, kind and giving to everyone. It doesn't make Wednesday any special in that way, she received the same treatment as others did. Every thought scratched her brain, clawing on her scalp. She could not stop her heart from running towards that girl. Does she tug back at her bolting heart or run with it?
If she tugged it back, she'd never have Enid.
If she ran with it, She might lose her entirely.
