A familiar stranger

She and Michael have known each other since they were children. Their families are very close, and the two spend several years together. They are best friends: they play, listen to music, and tell each other everything. Then, suddenly, her father receives an important job offer, and the family has to move to the other side of the United States. She and Michael promise each other to stay in touch. But over time, the phone calls become less frequent. Years pass. Michael becomes a global superstar. She, on the other hand, grows up and decides to become a private investigator. At a certain point, she receives an extremely delicate assignment: she has to gather information on Michael Jackson. She isn't told everything. Her client wants to know what is really happening in his private life, and above all, whether certain allegations and rumors circulating about him have any foundation. She accepts. She doesn't know yet that the case involves her old best friend. When the time comes to meet him, Michael opens the door. They look at each other.
