Pete's Bar was a small, smoky tavern tucked away on a back street in Brooklyn. Whenever Klaus came to the city, it was a place he always stopped in. Mostly because he had known Pete the better part of a century. The bar has historically been quiet. That is until Klaus went in that gloomy October evening. He noticed a new patron sitting in a back booth. She had a beautiful smile, vivacious spirit, he thought she would be the perfect snack. That is until he spent time with her. Her name was Violet, and she was just as haunted as Klaus was. The more he tries to stay away from Violet, the more he feels an invisible string to her. Danger had always followed Klaus. However, Violet had her own danger following her. A danger that inevitably made Klaus a target.
