in your shoulders - newtmas

Thomas had been watching him from a distance for almost a year.

A boy with white hair, a piercing in his eyebrow and lip, always in an oversized long-sleeved sweatshirt. They never talked to each other. Until they got a joint biology project.

One kiss changed everything.
Then came the truth that Thomas couldn't handle.
Then silence, avoidance and the slow disappearance of someone he still wanted.

When Newt ends up in the hospital, Thomas finally realises how much it cost him to escape himself.

He returns - with an uncertain request for a second chance, with a delicate promise that this time he wants to stay and understand.

A story about the first infatuation, about the fear of truth, about guilt and about the fact that sometimes the most important thing is just not to leave.
