Dear Caleb,
I'm writing to you because I miss you a lot. Its been a year exactly since it happened and I still forget you're gone sometimes. The hope you gave me still lives in my soul, but losing you killed the rest of me a bit. I'll be okay though, I'm always okay, so please don't worry. Anyway, there's this girl, you see, her and I were good friends in middle school. I think you might have known her too... but I saw her again at the beginning of the year and I think I'm in love with her, Caleb. Perhaps its fleeting feelings I've formed in my lonely mind, but perhaps I really truly care about her. Either way, I just want to get to know her.

I'll write you often and tell you all about her and how high school is without you. I think I might summarize now and say it sucks, but I think you might want to know details.
I miss you a lot.

xx Riley
