Evercore: The Seventh Legacy

Every student at Ever Core Academy believes their power is random luck. It isn't. Six ancient dragons have already chosen their Champions - and for a full year, the seventh has refused to answer.

Then Perseus Valerius, fourteen and famously unremarkable, walks into the Ever Caves, and the river freezes.

Percy comes out with a mark on his arm, a seat on a Council that outranks the Headmaster, and a four-hundred-year-old FrostWing called Arctic in his head - a dragon who trains him in dreams and withholds the Blessing every other Champion received on day one.

But the academy runs on a lottery, and the twenty-eight hundred students who drew nothing have started taking what they were never given. Something is coming out of the wilderness to meet them. And when the Legacy Trials end in blood, the person Percy has to stop is the one who was there before any of it.
