The world has changed.

Humanity now lives in APATE, a supposedly post-apocalyptic world where society has collapsed and survival is difficult.

With traditional work and opportunities scarce, people have become almost entirely dependent on EIDOLON, an enormous virtual world where players can create their own avatars, explore countless environments, complete quests, fight, socialise-and, most importantly, earn the credits they need to survive outside the game.
