Kenda and Dean were never supposed to be children.

To their parents, they were dangerous. To the government, they were experiments. To the people who studied them, they were nothing more than mutations waiting to be understood.

Dean was ten when he learned that his mind could be more dangerous than any weapon.

Kenda was five when she learned that people were afraid of what she could do.

Separated during the years they spent being studied, the two siblings grow up believing that survival is all they were ever meant for.
