My heart began pounding.

His thumb moved slowly along the curve of my waist, almost absentmindedly, as though he were reminding himself that I was actually standing there in front of him.

I gripped his shirt without even realizing it.

His eyes flickered down to my hands.

Then back to my face.

That faint, arrogant smirk appeared.

He hummed against my skin, the sound sending another shiver through me.

His hand remained firmly at my waist, his thumb moving in one slow, deliberate motion before stilling.

His voice was low, almost dangerously soft.
His fingers tightened slightly around my waist.
I swallowed.

"It's all mine."

My breath caught.
And the moment he heard it, that familiar arrogant smirk returned.
