Goodbye, Yesterday

Only a week after eighteen-year-old Oliver's high school graduation his grandfather passes leaving Oliver unexpectedly alone in a house willed out to him and parents having fazed out of Oliver's life since he was a boy. College applications and financial aid requests are put to the side as Oliver tries to navigate too much paper work needed for a bare minimum funeral service and apparently required morgue services?

At the other side of the city where the tall buildings cast long shadows James Winston in on the run, or at least he thinks he is. All James knows is that just like always he's on his own and at some point someone will come sniffing after his trail. And what better way to get lost then find some fast cash on the way to the biggest train station in the state?

As these two polar-opposites cross paths and later find other runaways like the little girl who believes the rain is angel tears, a terribly strict red-headed girl and a pair of twins with an uncanny ability to see right through you they find more commonalities then differences and why it is that they find themselves turning their backs to everything they've ever known.
