Everything She Doesn't See

Ira Sen used to be the girl who was good at everything.

Now she's the girl who cries in the Block C stairwell at 2 a.m. She has an experiment that has failed nine times, a supervisor who sighs before she finishes her sentences, and a note on her phone titled reasons I am not enough that she adds to more often than she'd like to admit.

She has decided - quietly, completely, without drama - that she is unlovable. Not tragically. Just factually. The way you accept a result you've replicated too many times to argue with.

She's wrong.

Ishaan Verma has known she's wrong for two years, three months and eleven days. He knows the exact number because he writes her name in a logbook every time she walks into his lab.

He's just never found a way to say it that she would believe.

⚠️ mentions depression, academic pressure, and grief. slow burn. very slow. you've been warned.
